Ceramic Incense Dish – Painted Themed Dish | Aetherium × Archibald | Wabi Sabi Collection
This hand-painted incense dish is part of our Wabi-Sabi Collection, created in collaboration with Seattle ceramic artist Annie Archibald. The form and finish are influenced by traditional Japanese pottery aesthetics that value impermanence, natural variation, and evidence of the maker’s hand.
The surface features a Kannyū-inspired glaze finish, where fine crackle patterns emerge naturally during firing. These subtle lines are not defects. They are a deliberate and respected characteristic of the technique, emphasizing time, process, and material response.
