Black TPU swing gate isolator installed between a dual swing-out rear bumper latch and steel D-hook bracket. The flexible wedge compresses slightly to eliminate metal-on-metal contact, reduce vibration, and tighten latch closure on off-road tire carriers. Designed for overland vehicles like Toyota or Jeep, the isolator fits common rear bar setups and is shown fully seated in a rugged, trail-used hinge assembly.

A swing gate shouldn’t sound like a toolbox.
These rattle stops were built around SOB Fabrication’s off-road bumpers and their D-hook latch system, but they’ll fit most setups that use the same style of receiver. Slide them over the latch bar and they take up the slack that causes all the vibration, the constant rattles, chirps, and clacking that show up the moment a rear swing-out gets loaded down.

Each isolator is printed in outdoor-rated TPU that flexes enough to slide into place without tools. Once installed, they tighten the closure, reduce metal-on-metal fatigue, and keep the latch feeling secure instead of loose and hollow. They work on tire carriers, accessory arms, dual swing gates, and custom D-hook latch builds—the same pattern SOB uses across their rigs.

They’re consumables by design. On my setup, with a 37" tire, jerry cans, and tools hanging off the back, a pair lasts two to three months before they’ve absorbed enough abuse to retire. Multipacks are available so you can swap them out when you need fresh ones.

If you’re looking for a bumper or a full rear system, check out SOB Fabrication at sobfabrication.com — and tell Travis I said hello.
If you need something custom for your own rig, or want a noise or fitment issue solved, send me a message and we’ll sort it out.
