No, not those kind.

While out hunting morels in the Pacific Northwest, I started collecting pine and cedar resin from fallen, fire-scarred trees. Not because I planned to make a hand balm, but because I was chasing an entirely different rabbit hole.

For years, I've been fascinated by traditional craftsmanship and historical materials. One of those interests led me to the centuries-old process of refining natural ultramarine pigment from lapis lazuli, where purified tree resin played an important role. So I brought the resin home, cleaned it, filtered it, and started experimenting.

Somewhere along the way, the experiment changed.

After blending the refined resin with beeswax and olive oil, I ended up with something I kept reaching for after long days in the shop. Between machining parts, cutting stone, sanding, polishing, and working outside, my hands take a beating. Instead of buying another commercial balm, I kept using the one sitting on my own bench.

Rockhounder's Salve isn't trying to compete with big skincare brands. It's made for people who build things, explore the outdoors, work with their hands, and occasionally dig rocks out of the ground.

Every batch is made in small quantities, poured by hand, and packaged in a CNC-engraved metal tin from my workshop here at Aetherium.
